USCIS asks for comments on Form I-90 green card replacement paperwork extension

USCIS published a 60-day Federal Register notice for a proposed extension, without change, of the Form I-90 information collection. Comments are due Dec. 7, 2026. This is a paperwork-comment notice, not a new green card eligibility rule.

USCIS published a Federal Register notice asking for public comments on a proposed extension, without change, of the currently approved information collection for Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card. The notice was published Oct. 6, 2026 as 91 FR 63572, document number 2026-20422. Comments are encouraged and will be accepted until Dec. 7, 2026. The notice says Form I-90 is used by USCIS to determine eligibility to replace a Lawful Permanent Resident Card and lists OMB Control Number 1615-0082 and Docket ID USCIS-2009-0002. Plain English: this is a request for comments on the paperwork collection and burden estimates. It is not a final rule, not a filing-fee change, and not a new eligibility rule for green card replacement applicants. General information only, not legal advice.
